The crucifix are mounted on wood with no velvet backing. On the front, all products are encased in a tarnish resistant metal of silver and copper alloy, specially mixed and handcrafted by the artisan for this purpose. Using historic, museum quality techniques of ancient craftsmanship passed down to him through his long family tradition of the trade. This artisan also lavishly uses gold leaf and gemstones to accentuate surface luster in recreating the ornamental grandeur of the original historic context. To make listing simple, in some cases sizes are approximated give and take a couple of 8th of an inch. More detailed photos and exact sizes are available to buyers seriously interested in the purchase of a specific product. You are strongly encouraged to pick up the item if you live close enough for a comfortable drive. 10% discount is given on items for pick up as it eliminates shipping, handling and insurance costs.
