General Information

The Alternative Medicine Branch of The School of Light Body Medicine offers courses, seminars, workshops and special presentations in  Complementary Medicine with a twist of soul. Alternative Therapies aim at complementing versus substituting traditional medical approaches.  Hence the name Complementary Medicine.  All subjects are taught from a holistic  perspective of the mind, body, spirit, energy, matter continuum.  Using an integrative approach, these programs aim at awakening the healer within all. And so create a healing partnership between the health care system and the potential patient in each of us.

 In 1997-1998 I was the President and Founder of the Association of Alternative Healing Arts with the mission of providing education and training in alternative therapies to health care professionals and the community. I spent those two years giving  presentations and training in complementary therapies at Community Colleges and Community Sites as well as at my Holistic Center.

Below is a comprehensive  list of the presentations,  courses, lectures and workshop  in Alternative Medicine that I had designed and taught during that time. The list  includes the name of facilities where the presentations were offered as well as the subject outlines.

In addition to the below listed formal presentations I was also frequently invited to be an informal guest lecturer at special interest and support groups such as Churches, Synagogues and other  Spiritual Groups, Mental Illness, Cancer, Addiction and Recovery, Grief and Hospice and other Support Groups.

I continue to be available to present, lecture, train and coach on any of the subjects listed here, to any group, upon demand. Length of presentations will be determined by demand and may vary anywhere from two hours, to all day workshops of any length, to weekly lectures.

Holistic Practitioner Training: Theory and Practicum

An introductory survey  of alternative therapies and perspectives in health and healing.  Especially designed for health care professionals, but helpful to all,  who wish to broaden their healing repertoire and reach beyond the narrow confines of western medicine. Course objective is not to advocate the replacement of western medicine but rather to integrate traditional and complementary therapeutic models.

 Course Syllabus:

An introductory course for health care professionals  in the fundamentals of energy medicine. This experiential study helps participants to integrate the energetic, physical and spiritual dimensions through  the  development of intuitive faculties and attunement to the Greater Life.

The basic premise of energy medicine is that energy is the cause and  the physical  phenomena is the effect. The human energy field is the causative  field of consciousness where all conditions, desirable and undesirable, originate. Disease and health   develop within the energy field long before they  manifest as physical conditions. The developing disease can be healed, or undone, on the level of energy before it surfaces as a physical illness.

We are continuously given powerful clues in a symbolic language of energy regarding the dynamic potentials within the human energy field.  The primary course objective is the learning to access and interpret this symbolic language of energy and thereby develop an interactive healing alliance between energy and matter, body and soul.

Whole Life Expo, Towson State University Union, Towson, Maryland 11/9/97, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.  Attended by 1000’s interested in holistic living. In addition to serving as a community educator to the public at my exhibit booth, I also gave a lecture on “Quantum Healing”, at 1 p.m.-2p.m..

Voices of Women Expo, Silver Spring Armory, Maryland, 4/20/97. Attended by 1000’s interested in women’s holistic living issues.  In addition to serving as a community educator to the public at my exhibit booth, I also gave a lecture to an audience of over 100 people on “Habit Control Through Self-Hypnosis”.
