On the Brink of Peace

An Appeal to God to bring us to The Brink of Peace

Dear God
We are appealing to you to bring us from our perceived brink of war
To your eternal Brink of Peace
Make us realize that war is never “good versus evil”
War is always “evil versus evil”
For it is always destruction versus destruction
The good is simply good
Unchallenged and unopposed always
For the good is God
Harmony dwelling in Harmony is the only good
For that is the human dwelling in God
There is only peace in the heart of God
The only peace there is, is in the heart of God

Dear God
Make us realize that we are not to fight evil with evil
For evil is weak, powerless and destitute
And the weak, the destitute and the powerless can never win
Please make us rise above our human perceptions
Above our human ways, limitations and shortsightedness
Take us high above into your infinite Being
Dissolve all evil from our human heart
Make us One with your Greater Life

Dear God
Make this world come to a complete stillness
Make your Great Silence rule supreme above all human sounds
Make us only hear your voice of freedom from all bondage
Take over our human minds and
Purify it from all that is not good
Pluck from our human hearts all that is not God
Make us remember what we have known all along
That if we are not of God, we are not

And so God answered
And the world came to a complete silence
All human sounds ceased
Only the voice of God could be heard
In the hidden depths of the Soul
