How to become a
Billionaire Part II

Consciousness: the 21st Century Medicine"
The day after I wrote the “How to
Become a Billionaire”,
Part II of the “How to” instructions emerged. On this unforgettable
day, I had the sacred privilege of personally experiencing God as The
Master Presence in charge of my life.
This happened on a non-suspecting day that was filled to overflowing
with a plethora of human detours. Still exhausted from moving to a new
apartment in Philadelphia, I
raced back to my Maryland home, and now I was back in Philadelphia again,
heading to work.
I was exiting the 30th Street station, trotting toward
the subway. Out of nowhere, a sudden understanding of “The Master
Presence” came floating in. It totally absorbed my attention.
The Master Presence, when allowed to lead an autonomous and
unhindered life, delivers mastery of life, without human effort or
intervention. In fact, for the Master Presence to become a living reality,
all human intervention must cease.
The timing of this thought could not have been more welcome. I was
feeling terminally enslaved to the ceaseless demands of the physical
world. The idea of a Master who could take over for me sounded like a
relief matched by none.
Turning to this Master Presence within, these thoughts began
spontaneously flowing through me.
“I just want to get to know you without any human agenda.
I want to get to know you, purely for your sake. To see and
understand how you live and how you operate. I just want to know you.
Not so that you can help me and take me where I want to go. Just for
your sake. I really want to know you as a real, breathing being in me.
“Who are you?” is my primary question and not, “what can you
do for me?.”
This is the meaning of self-forgetting.
Then I felt pure, blinding, white light all around me. I became the
light, its glow and its brilliance. I felt God in me and me in God, like
never before. Dissolved into a sea of light, I understood that this was
God, the much coveted experience of One-ness with God.
And this happened not because of me but in spite of me. I wasn’t
meditating and I wasn’t visualizing anything. I wasn’t doing
anything….I was just thinking of God for God’s sake. And so the vision
of God came into focus with never before clarity. God came both through me
and to me. Not due to my asking or conscious evoking. But due to my
wanting nothing more than to know God.
God came to me in person, through my person and, the One became the
other. For the first time, The Greater God and the lesser human met on a
common ground, at the only meeting place possible, at a place where God
speaks and the self-serving human is silent.
This God, this personal Master, felt like the first warm breeze of
Spring after a long, dark winter. This
Divine Intimacy, this immersion, this spontaneous dissolution into the
Greater Being…..so personal,
so natural, so close to God.
It came to me that I should spend all my time talking to this Being
instead of talking to people. When I talk to people, the result is, more
often than not, an increase in mutual confusion and disorientation.
Note: To condense this day long Divine encounter to a manageable
reading experience, from here on I will continue with the story in a
dialogue format between The Master Presence, God within, and me, or you,
the incidental disciple.
*Master:
You must have Divine dialogues and human monologues.
*Disciple: What do you mean?
*Master: Human dialogues, be they inner
or outer, rehearse, feed and perpetuate destructive human ideas. Therefore
they are always unproductive. When the human speaks God is silent and all
else is in a state of confusion. It is because people don’t listen to
each other.
Therefore, when you talk to people, you should always have a
monologue. What does this mean? God talks, and people listen.
All other experience makes talking irrelevant. Think about it…why
talk if no one listens?
The only dialogue you are to have is a dialogue with God. The Divine
Dialogue is the only constructive dialogue there is.
When you become authentic about wanting to know God, God starts
speaking to you and through you. That is when people start listening. When
God speaks, all else goes silent.
This is the meaning of “Nothing and nobody matters except God.”
This is why you should only be talking with God and let God do the talking
for you.
*Disciple: Hearing this I had an
irresistible urge to consciously release a geyser of diamond white light
through the top of my head. It began blazing through the atmosphere like a
speeding rocket. With the
power of God so released it kept piercing through the sky till it
dissolved into infinitude. Then it instantly widened into a river of light
spanning the universe.
I recognized this as the “Ever widening river of Divine Love”. I
began floating upward on the Ever Widening River of Divine Love. And I did
so without any human effort or visualization. It just happened. Because I
became the spontaneous flow of God in action.
I glanced at both sides of
the River. I beheld
everything that is to be desired and to be had.
*Master:
That’s right. This is the Ever Widening River of Divine Love, your
cosmic shopping spree. You not only have everything in this Divine store
but you can also have anything you want.
*Disciple
to the reader: Remember that this story began unfolding while
walking to the subway in Philadelphia.
At this point I got to the Market Street subway station, and a
train was waiting for me. This never happens, so I took it as a Divine
favor. So encouraged by “life made easy”, I quickly asked that the
same thing will happen again when I transfer to the Broad Street line. A
train should be waiting for me when I get there.
Right away I was reminded
that I don’t tell the Master what to do. I can not use the Master to
gratify my human ideas of perfection. I can not use the Master for
anything.
The idea of using cancels
out the idea of the Master. The disciple doesn’t use the Master. The
Master uses the disciple as he sees it fit. And the disciple, if she is a
true initiate, recognizes the act of being used by the Master as the
Divine privilege of the “becoming wise”.
I am not a user. I am not
here to use. I am here to be used by the Master. There was such a great
relief in this. Because this brought back into focus my only aspiration in
life”, “To get to know God, the Master Presence within.”
The Master is the Master
of all. No one tells the Master what to do and how to do it because no one
is better at anything than the Master. This is why I want to spend all my
time paying attention to the Master, learning from the Master. Learning,
adopting and applying The Master’s skills, ways and being. That is all I
want to do.
Since the Master and I are
one, I, the little I, all I need to do is to get myself out of the way,
and let the Master create, manifest and be. Henceforth, when tempted by
human interference, I should merely say, “The Maser knows best”, then
let go, and let God be who God is, the Master of my Life.
Then, the final
realization came….I found my Cosmic Lover! I found my billionaire! And
it is God, the Master Presence who makes all my dreams come through. God
is the infinitely rich lover, who takes me everywhere I long to be. Who
travels around the world with me and takes me to far away places, to the
land of miracles and wonder, to the land of infinite bounty.
Floating upward on the
Ever Widening River of Divine Love, God and I are one, and God and I own
the universe.
And so I realized, that
the only place worth being is being in
God consciously, being conscious of The Master Presence, always. God is my
billionaire …and hanging around him makes me one.
